Aloha family

Woo Hoo! We made it! so this is going to be my email for the next two years. i guess i can't use gmail =( but it's ok, this is great! i burned my thumb just barely on a scolding hot frying pan of chicken, but other than that i am fantastic! it was great to get to talk to everybody yesterday or the day before or whenever it was. I'm all thrown off by the time change. Somehow we travelled through time and skipped tuesday. it's crazy to think that it's almost midnight in provo right now. the flight wasn't actually too bad. i bought myself one of those neck pillows and slept probably 11 of the 14 hours. I'm still kinda jet lagged though. I don't know anybody's email addresses so if you could send those to me, that would be great. I love you all! i'll write you again on pday whenever that happens to be.

Love
Elder Troxel

ps- i don't know where exactly i've been asigned yet, but i do know it's not in singapore. that means it's in malaysia. hopefully west, because apparently nobody speaks english in east malaysia.

Missing Jordan

Well, we got to speak to Jordan for a while last night when his flight got in to LA. After a brief conversation he boarded a plain for Taiwan and is now half way across the world. But don't worry. I've decided to bring him to the screen again. I found these rather silly videos on my hard drive this morning as I was cleaning things up. Enjoy.

We love you Jordan. Serve well and we're all praying for you!

Chelsie brought us this picture!

Chelsie graced us with this amazing photo. It looks like she gets most of the good stuff, but that's good because it means that she will continue to come over and visit us.

Scott & Mandy Get Their First Official Letter

So Mandy & I got our first letter from Jordan today. It sounds like he doing well. He talked about feeling like he's been gone for a long time. I remember that feeling. The MTC is an interesting place. It really seems like time slows down in there. The Spirit works in an interesting way, allowing the Lord's servants to learn the things they need to in a short amount of time.
I can't believe that Jordan will be heading out soon. Tomorrow is his last Sunday in the states for two years.

Jordan's Addresses

Letters can be written to Jordan in the MTC and sent via LDSMissionResources.org until he leaves around February 25, 2008. You can also send letters via regular post at the following address, but they will not be forwarded after he leaves. His MTC address is:

Elder Jordan Troxel
MTC Mailbox #246
SING-APR 0225
2005 N 900 E
Provo, UT 84604-1793

Once Jordan leaves you can write him via regular post in Singapore. We are hoping that he will be able to use email and will let everyone know what is the easier way to communicate. When sending letters via regular post DO NOT ADDRESS THE LETTER USING "ELDER". Jordan's mission home address is:

Jordan Troxel

He does enjoy letters and said he is hoping to set a record for the most packages and letters recieved.

Jordan's First Letters Home

We will post letters or emails as they arrive. Hopefully the scanned images of the letter will be readible. If not we will try other things. He seems upbeat and ready to serve. (click on the images to read see them full size)
